

Reassemble by following the previous directions in reverse order.Īttach the tension spring to the idler arm, then insert PTO cable in the bracket. Remove the bolt that secures the blade to the spindle and remove the blade.Īssemble the new blades on the engine spindle, and tighten the bolts to the proper torque as indicated in your operator's manual. Wearing gloves for protection, use the Arnold Blade Removal Tool to secure the blade. Remove the bow tie clip to release the PTO cable from the bracket, and release the tension spring from the idler arm. Remove the bow tie clip on the deck stabilizer rod and slide the deck lift rod from the mounting bracket.

Repeat steps on right side of mower deck.

Remove the bow tie clip from the left rear side of the mower deck and carefully remove the hanger rod. Remove the belt keeper from around the engine pulley by removing the self-tapping screw. Place a block of wood under the deck's edge for support then lower the deck to the wooden block. Put the deck height lever in its highest position. Turn the mower off and make sure the engine is cool. Always be sure to check your operator's manual for detailed instructions.
